In the market of renewable energies, lithium batteries are playing an increasingly important role facilitating the energy transition, allowing the optimized use of energy deriving from renewable sources, and pushing users towards energy independence.
As of August 17th 2023 the new Battery Directive (EU Regulation 2023/1542) is in full force and effect: in the coming years it will completely transform the battery production chain, providing increasingly strict constraints for both battery manufacturers and distributors.
The conference will be an occasion to share information and to exchange views thanks to the contribution, on one side, of ANIE, that will give a summary of new regulatory requirements and, on the other side, of the industry and research players that will illustrate how the battery market sector is facing the new regulatory change.
