In recent years, green hydrogen has begun to play an increasingly important role globally, proposing itself as an important source of clean and sustainable energy. The development of this energy vector is also of close interest to many countries in the Latin American region and according to World Bank data – with 2030 as a perspective – Latin America is one of the potentially most competitive areas for the production of green hydrogen. In view of the growing interest in the region, several countries are developing actions to promote the sector and several pilot projects are underway, from private initiatives to others with associations of public companies. The national strategies on green hydrogen of Latin American countries will be presented and development and investment opportunities in the region will be discussed during the event.
