KEY . THE ENERGY TRANSITION EXPO APPOINTMENT WITH ENERGY TRANSITION

Rimini, 21st February 2024 . KEY . The Energy Transition Expo, IEG´s (Italian Exhibition Group) energy transition event of reference in Southern Europe, Africa and the Mediterranean basin, will be back at Rimini Expo Centre from 28th February to 1st March for three days dedicated to technologies, services and integrated solutions for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The event confirms the successful format experimented in March 2023, consolidating its role as a privileged network for the sector´s international community. An event that is able to connect all the key players involved and favour dialogue with the institutions.

THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY HEADS FOR RIMINI
KEY 2024 strengthens its international vocation by increasing the number of countries attending and addressing all those that demonstrate a potential and strong demand for innovative technologies and solutions for energy transition. About 800 exhibiting brands are expected to attend (over 30% more than in 2023), of which about 35% from abroad including companies of international relevance, leaders in their reference markets.
Moreover, thanks to an extensive network of international agents, collaboration with the most important Italian and foreign Associations, the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA . Italian Trade Agency, KEY will host about 300 buyers and delegations from 57 countries.

THE THEMATIC AREAS OF THE 2024 EDITION
KEY - The Energy Transition Expo will feature areas dedicated to the main sectors involved in energy transition with an exhibition itinerary that will wind through seven distinct thematic areas which will, however, be connected to each other in order to promote every existing synergy: from solar photovoltaic to wind energy, from technologies, projects, state-of-the-art and future evolutions in hydrogen production and storage to energy efficiency and sustainable building in the Sustainable Building District, through to residential and industrial static utility scale storage, e-Mobility and the Sustainable City.

THE LAYOUT
A new layout for the coming edition: 16 halls in total, 4 more than in 2023, 14 of which (D1-D7 and B1-B7) will be divided into seven themed exhibition areas. Hall C1 will host Arenas and Agoras for events and workshops, while Hall A1 will host DPE - International Elextricity Expo, the event that focuses on the electrical generation, transmission, distribution, safety and automation ecosystem, organised by Italian Exhibition Group in cooperation with the Associazione Generazione Distribuita (Distributed Generation Association) . Engines, Components, Generators (ANIMA Confindustria) and Federazione ANIE.

INNOVATION DISTRICT AND THE LORENZO CAGNONI AWARD
A new look also for the Innovation District in the Lorenzo Cagnoni Dome - Innovation Square, which was upgraded this year and will, for the first time, feature four themed itineraries where exhibitors and innovative Italian and foreign start-ups and SMEs attending the show will be able to showcase products, solutions and cutting-edge technologies as well as network, exchange ideas and intercept new business opportunities. This area, organised by Italian Exhibition Group SpA in collaboration with ITA - Italian Trade Agency, ART-ER and FONDAZIONE MAI, and ANGI as Main Partner, will host events and presentation pitches and will also boast an interview corner. For the first time, the ´Innovative Start-Up´ Award, reserved to Start-ups and SMEs that have stood out due to their highly innovative projects for the renewable energy and energy transition market, will be assigned as well as the Lorenzo Cagnoni Award for Innovation dedicated to the memory of IEG President Lorenzo Cagnoni, which will award the exhibitors of the seven most innovative projects presented in each of KEY´s seven product sectors.

CORE CONTENT IN THE CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
The conference programme defined by KEY´s Technical and Scientific Committee will also be strongly oriented towards the international component to offer sector operators quality information and training and an opportunity for professional updating to further their skills, knowledge and know-how.
KEY 2024 will keep the spotlights on every energy efficiency issue and on the transformations that are affecting the energy market without forgetting energy and climate policies in Europe and Italy, the numerous advantages that energy transition offers to countries bordering the Mediterranean, the main technological innovations and the latest financial opportunities.
