Marco Aresti is Access2Energy Program Manager at RES4Africa. His focus is on access to energy and off-grid solutions to support sustainable development. Marco recently launched the Micro-Grid Academy project that aims to create a unique environment for capacity building on renewable mini-grids in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently investigating the Water-Energy-Food Nexus to identify bankable business models that can help ensure access to energy.
Previously, Marco worked for 8 years at Enel Green Power on the development of large-scale wind projects, including on the company’s expansion in Latin-America.
Driven by a strong interest for innovation, Marco started his career in the Fiat Research Centre where he experimented for over 5 years on the application of Fuel Cells on electric vehicles.
