The energy transition is not only through the installation of new renewable plants. Distributed generation together with new forms of self-consumption represent a real revolution in the energy development of territories. Local Communities - understood as an aggregation of administrations, businesses and citizens of a given territory - are at the heart of the change taking place and they need first and foremost someone who knows how to dialogue with them, understand their needs, implement projects, integrate technologies and manage the system effectively, efficiently and corresponding to territorial needs. ESCos, integrating technological, regulatory, financial and behavioral skills, are the natural candidate for this role.
